International SOS and Eligibility

Rest assured that whenever you travel internationally USF has a 24/7 resource on call, online and even on the ground to help with any medical, security and logistical questions, concerns and situations that may arise. So if you need a medical referral, lose your medication, seek pre-travel advice or experience a medical or security crisis, USF has a fully integrated program in place so you receive the care and expertise that you need, whenever and wherever you need it.

USF partners with International SOS, the leading medical assistance, international healthcare and security assistance company. Travel security services are provided by a joint venture of International SOS and Control Risks, the world's leading security risk management firm.

Eligibility

USF students who participate in university sponsored semester-long study abroad programs, short term faculty led programs and immersion programs are automatically enrolled in International SOS. Undergraduate students participating in external semester programs are NOT eligible.

Certain study abroad programs including visa requirements need to see evidence of overseas coverage for emergency medical, repatriation and evacuation services. Upon request the Center for Global Education can provide eligible students on university approved programs a "Travel Certificate" as proof of coverage.
